Q.I want to get a tattoo, what should I decide on?
A.It’s best to first imagine yourself with the tattoo, and decide on the place in which you want it, the design subject you would like, and its size. If you can’t really envision it too well, feel free to contact or visit us for advice.
Q.How should I decide on a tattoo design?
A.There are many different design samples which you can browse through, that are posted on the internet or in magazines. We also have some examples on our site, you can also come visit our shop and we will be glad to help you find and choose the right design for yourself.
Q.Can I come to the studio without a prior appointment?
A.Sunsqlit Tattoo is a walk-in shop, and you can always come visit us for counseling. Depending on the design and our schedule, getting a tattoo on the same day is possible. As opposed to private studios, you don’t need an appointment just to come in.
Q.I’m a little scared to walk into a tattoo studio
A.Our studio is bright and has an easy to walk into feel about it. You can check our pages beforehand if you like.
Q.How long does it take before getting a tattoo?
A.It varies depending on the season and the studio, please make sure by sending us an email or by phone. In our studio, if the design is small and simple, or if it’s letters or ready-made designs, it may be possible to get it done on the same day.
Q.Can you get a tattoo no matter your age?
A.It is against the law to get a tattoo when under 18 years of age. We also cannot accept clients who are high school students, even if they are 18 years old. Please be advised we require you to bring an ID to your appointment, so that we can verify your age before doing the tattoo.
Q.I’m worried about hygiene care.
A.In our studio, we make sure to keep the highest sanitary standards. We use an autoclave and all of our equipment that may have contact with the skin is disposable.
Q.Can I bring pictures of works from other studios to discuss the design?
A.It is perfectly alright for you to do so. Photos or illustrations, you can bring anything that may help to convey the design you would like to get.
Q.Can I get a tattoo of a design I did myself?
A.Yes, although there may be cases where the design is not fitted for making a tattoo of, in which we would have to make adjustments or small changes to the design, so we advise you to write or come for counseling once, to discuss it.
Q.What should I be careful about on the day before getting a tattoo?
A.The day before and the actual day of getting the tattoo, it would be best if you refrain from drinking alcohol, as well as get enough sleep. Also, be sure to eat a proper meal beforehand. Please avoid getting tan or sunburnt, as we cannot tattoo on red or peeling skin.
Q.What should I wear on the day of the tattoo?
A.Please wear clothes that aren’t tight and don’t rub the skin in the place where you are getting the tattoo. Also, once the ink gets on the clothes, it may not come off, so be sure to wear something you won’t mind getting dirty or bring a change of clothes with you.
Q.Can I get a tattoo while hospitalized?
A.We apologize, but as a tattoo studio we cannot make that decision. Please advise your doctor. Also, if you take any medication, make sure you consult with your doctor first.
Q.What should I do regarding tattoo aftercare?
A.In order for the tattoo to heal properly, aftercare is extremely important. Instructions vary with each studio. We will explain everything you need to know about aftercare at the time of your appointment.
Q.Can we change the design after getting the tattoo done?
A.Due to the nature of tattoos, we can’t change it once it’s done, so please make sure the design is right for you before we put it in. Also, it isn’t impossible to remove the tattoo with a laser, but it won’t bring the skin back to its original condition.
Q.Can I get an MRI or CT while having tattoos?
A.It’s not likely to get declined. Our staff have had both scans done without a problem as well.
Q.Can I choose the artist?
A.Yes, you can choose anyone from our staff free of charge. Please let us know if you have any preference.
Q.Can I come with a friend?
A.Yes, you can bring a friend with you.
Q.I want to change a tattoo I already have.
A.We can do a cover up and put a new design over the old one, so that you can’t tell it has been covered. Let us know beforehand, so that we can prepare the best design for you.
Q.Can you continue work done in another shop?
A.Yes, though be sure to come for counseling first.
Q.Can you continue doing a tattoo that has been left untouched for a few years?
A.Yes, please contact the responsible staff directly.

Q.Can we take a break during the tattooing process?
A.We usually take a break every hour or so. If you need a break, you can let us know at any time.
Q.I want to slightly change the tattoo I have.
A.If you would like to do anything like a color change, any addition to the design or thickening of the lines, let us know and we will see what we can do about it.
